13 Lakes to Choose From
Graystone Lake Lodge is an ideal home base for exploring the numerous back lakes in our area. We are seeking guests who enjoy back lake fishing in smaller sized boats on remote lakes. Leave your 18 foot plus boat at home, load up your ATV, and hit one of the area roads to access our camp boats for your use. While ATV’s make access easier they are not required, as many of our lakes can still be reached with your own vehicle. While we maintain the roads and trailways the best we can, there is always the chance of acquiring Canadian pin striping (what we call scratches) on your vehicle. Be forewarned.
Still want to bring your own boat? There are a variety of lakes that can be reached within an hours drive, or right across the street at Ten Mile Lake. Walleye, northern pike, lake trout, and small mouth bass are all just waiting for your baited hook.
Graystone Lake (Catch and Release for Walleye Only)
The lake on which our resort resides, Graystone Lake is a 305 acre lake that houses one of the area’s walleye sanctuaries. This sanctuary feeds the connecting waters of Ten Mile Lake and Sturgeon Lake, both exemplary walleye lakes. The portion of lake containing the sanctuary remains closed to walleye fishing until June 15 of each year to protect the species that so many come to fish for. Because of the size of this lake and the importance of conserving this sanctuary we are dedicated to protecting the species by encouraging catch and release only fishing of walleye on Graystone Lake and by releasing all walleye over 18.1 inches to protect the spawners in all of our prime area lakes. In addition to walleye, Graystone Lake contains northern pike and smallmouth bass for your fishing pleasure.
